Copyright Ownership
The Maldives Journal of Engineering and Technology (MJET) operates under the principle that authors retain copyright of their scholarly works.
By submitting and publishing an article with MJET, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive their work under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
Author Rights
Authors retain the following rights:

To reuse and distribute their work in any medium or format, including inclusion in theses, dissertations, and future publications.

To make derivative works and adaptations of their articles.

To share their work freely with colleagues, on personal websites, or in institutional repositories.

To use the work in educational and scholarly presentations, provided proper citation to MJET is given.
License Agreement
Authors are required to sign a License to Publish agreement confirming they retain copyright and grant MJET the right to publish under the CC BY 4.0 license. This agreement also affirms that the submitted work is original and free of copyright infringements.

Third-Party Material
If a manuscript includes any third-party material (such as images, figures, or tables) not owned by the authors, the authors must obtain permission for reuse and clearly credit the source. All such material must be compatible with the CC BY 4.0 license or appropriately labeled and restricted.
Publisher’s Rights and Responsibilities
MJET holds the right to publish, distribute, and archive articles under the CC BY 4.0 license and to ensure open access to the content. MJET will not make changes that alter the original meaning or integrity of the published work.
